Hyperhidrosis affects between 1 and 2 percent of the population and is usually inherited. Hyperhidrosis is the medical definition of excessive sweating. This occurs when someone sweats beyond what is needed. Many cures are available depending on the level of a persons sweating problem.
The sympathetic nervous system is the cause for excessive sweating. It is a part of our autonomous nervous system which we have no control over. Blood Pressure, ansiety levels and heart rate among other functions are affected.

Sweaty hands affects people more than any other area making it dificult to use a pen, shake hands or even grip a steering wheel.
There are many methods being used to treat cases of profuse sweating including oral medications, lotions and injections of botox just to name a few. Alternative therapies are also very popular as they are inexpensive, non invasive, uncomplicated and do not carry the potential side effects that surgery and medication do.
For many sweating is embarrassing, it stains clothes, makes business and social interactions uncomfortable and sometimes can ruin a romance. In the more severe cases of sweating it can affect one on a functional level such as the inability to use a pen, shake hands or hold a steering wheel properly.
