Massage therapy is all about how the body works and circulation of our system. If massage therapy is something you are interested in, there are many training courses out there. The time it will take you to complete your training program depends mostly on the state you live in. Three hundred to 1,000 hours of training is often required to become a fully licensed massage therapist.

    US Career Institute Online Massage Therapy Training

    • U.S. Career Institute indicates you can earn your certificate online for massage therapy training. However, 200 hours are required of hands on massage training, so the catch may be you have to live in the state of the school in order for that to work properly. With the wide range of courses taught at NMTI, you gain a much broader knowledge base for massage therapy training.

    Asis Massage Education

    • Asis massage education has schools in Arizona and Illinois. They only offer the minimal states requirement to become a licensed massage therapist. With their training course you will get trained in Swedish massage, polarity therapy, reflexology, cranial sacral, neuromuscular therapy, connective tissue massage, injury rehab sports massage, kinesiology and palpation, structure and function, as well as communications, ethics and business.

    Micro Tech Training Center

    • Micro Tech Training center offers a massage therapy training program. They are based in New Jersey but the course trains you enough to allow you to take the New Jersey state and New York state license exam as well as the national licensed exam. Micro Tech Training Center offers courses in the following: anatomy and physiology I and II, kinesiology, mycology, pathology, massage theory and techniques I and II, business and office procedures for massage therapy, and courses on specific massage styles.

    UCMT Family of Schools

This school offers training that exceeds the national massage therapist requirements, as well as, most state requirements. Therefore, you are not limited to one primary state to work from.
