Understand How God Thinks - Sid Roth

Kerry, briefly tell me how you got into teaching on the power of imagination? What started you there? Well, I was reading you know in Genesis where the Lord said, We were created in the imagination of God. And it says in the first verses, where it says We were created in the image of God, and He said, Let us, plural, make man, and Hes speaking to The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, Us plural. And Through His image let Us place our own resemblance inside of them, their DNA inside of man, but then a few verses later it says, and then it says, And then God formed man.

So theres two different things there, God created and then He said, He formed. So I began to study, there was two distinct words there that actually the word was Created in the imagination of God was in the idea was in that God first of all thought it, you know we dont understand how God thinks, but He doesnt have a brain because God is a Spirit, but He first of all imagined it was the best way to resemble it. One translation says that He determined ahead of time what it would be like.

Its Supernatural. And then He says in Isaiah 43, He says, I formed the people that would praise Me, that same word, He said, I saw already ahead of time this people that I wanted to create. So there was a thought or a picture if you will, and then in the verses after that And then He formed man out of the dust of the earth. So first of all there was something that God saw or predetermined and then He formed it secondly. So the whole thing with imagination, because my mind was that, I was told as a young guy, Well, youve got a vain imagination, youve got a wild imagination and that imagination will take you to a dark side or into evil.

Well, before the fall everything was good and so that means I believe and saw that Adam had the ability to name all the animals, he had the ability to understand what God was saying and wanted him to do, that there was the glory of God there, the image, the imagination of God was there, the creativity and so really that imagination was lost after the fall of man.
