This may sound a bit strange but compare your online business to your car that you drive.
Unless all the parts work together to get you from point A to point B in your car, you just sit there right? As you sit there, you get more and more frustrated as time passes - at least I tend to get more frustrated (To me, this is a big waste of time).
Now, looking at an online business, unless everything works together to get to that next profit margin in the business world, you get more frustrated.
For example, if your human resources team does not do their job properly and conscientiously, you come to dead halt right? Now, remember that unless your human resources team works well and constantly (in some cases) with the advertising and promotion department, you are not making any money - in fact you are losing money on a minute by minute basis right? I just used these departments as an example, you can piece the message together from the above-noted example.
Another old saying I want to bring to mind at this time is that children learn what they live right? At least, I live by that mantra myself.
As a business entrepreneur, your children could be called or c considered your employees.
If you, as the owner, are grumpy, late or dishevelled in appearance, did you really expect your employees to be any different? On the other hand, if you keep the communication door open between you and your employees, you may find a totally different scenario.
At this point, you may think, "But I'm the boss" - you are absolutely right.
But always remember that your employees follow your example in all areas of their work.
If you tend to show up to work late every day for 6 months straight, they may think that they can be late on a consistent basis and you will never know it (they are probably right too).
Some business entrepreneurs argue that they keep their employees disciplined with the famous fear factor.
True, fear will sometimes work, but it soon wears thin.
Fear is not nearly as effective as a good example.
If you have raised children, I bet you will have to agree with the author on this point.
So, in order for your online endeavours to gain you any financial freedom, clean out every corner of your business.
Any corner left dirty can have negative results (long-lasting) on your business endeavors.
If those corners are left in a somewhat stilted manner of working, the end result will be reflected in your business both now and in the future.
In closing, I have a question for you that I want you to think about - why should your employees care as much about your business as you do? Isn't this business endeavour your dream - your baby so to speak? Have you done any housecleaning and thinking about your online endeavors lately and the impact this could have on your own future and that dream you are achieving?
