- 1). Download the HTTP File Server (HFS) program (see Resources). There is no installation necessary.
- 2). Double-click on the HFS icon if the program does not launch automatically.
- 3). Right-click on the HFS icon in the system tray, and choose "Add folder from disk."
- 4). Select the folder you want the PSP to have access to, and click "OK." Most users will simply choose the drive letter for their main hard drive to grant the PSP total access.
- 5). Double-click on the HFS icon in the system tray to open the interface.
- 6). Right-click on one of the shared folders in the "Virtual File System" pane, choose "Upload" and select "Anyone." This grants the PSP permission to transfer files back and forth to the PC with no restrictions. Repeat this for each folder you wish to grant permission for.
- 7). Connect your PSP to the home network Wi-Fi, and open the web browser.
- 8). Copy the web address shown in HFS next to the "Open in browser" button at the top into the address bar of the PSP's web browser. The contents of the shared folder will appear on the PSP screen, and you will have access to the files in the chosen folders.
