Going natural is something that is not much encouraged these days. However, there are some absolute benefits of going natural and many women are starting to discover the fact that natural is the best they can be. For example, if you go natural and do not mind, then you are more relaxed and less self conscious, and this reflects in your attitude and makes you, in turn, the cool person in the room.
Unnatural products do a lot of harm to us and eventually we end up being so dependent on them that we lose sight of what we actually are, and our natural appearance starts to scare us.
This is extremely unhealthy, because if we hate ourselves, then we can never be satisfied with ourselves and then we can never be happy. Harmful chemicals in unnatural skin products end up causing harm to our skin and cause our skin to irritate and often are the cause of the pimples on our face. This is a never ending cycle, because then we go ahead and buy more chemical products for pimples, which in turn cause some other problems. The same applies to hair as well. If you are buying chemical products for your hair and are applying them, then they are causing harm to your scalp and your hair. For that temporary shine you may even end up with a bald patch on your head. So it is time you cared about natural hair care, because that is the best care you can give to your hair.
Natural hair care does not mean you are not allowed to care for your hair. Surely, as we should take care of our health so that we stay comfortable and our body functions properly, we need to take care of our hair as well. But that care should be about the health of our hair, not whether or not it pleases the eyes of some people who care barely for you, or are simply concerned about how you look. So pick the products for you, those which make you healthy and feel good about yourself.
There is often a lot of pressure on black women because the society openly discriminates against their appearance and their hair. The society has set its beauty standards according to white Caucasian appearances, and though those standards are broadening and changing, it is still what any beauty standard is, that is, quite narrow and essentially discriminatory.
However, the even bigger problem is that because of such normalization of the white Caucasian appearance and a larger number of buyers of straight hair products, there are few curly hair products and not too many of those are well known.
Natural hair products are not necessarily more expensive. In fact, you will find plenty of chemical products which cost way more than natural products, so you can go for natural products, such as shampoo for natural hair, well within your budget. There are quite a few brands which sell natural products for natural hair.
