As a female, I have struggled for years with unwanted hair above my upper lip.
I have spent countless hours and more money that I should have to try and remove the unwanted hair.
I have asked myself time and again is there ever a way I can get rid of this facial hair for good.
I have tried the plucking method and yes it works somewhat but man it hurts.
The chemical creams and gels sitting in my bathroom vanity only seem to irritate my skin.
And yes I have bought the electric rotary coil, you know the ones that rip the hair right out! I used it once and that was enough.
I have also tried the home waxing kits.
I liked hot waxing almost as much as the rotary coil.
After trying all the above products and not getting the results I desired I decided it was time to research a permanent, professional solution.
The two main methods I found were laser hair removal and electrolysis.
Laser hair removal is a long lasting way of removing the hair but with a costly price tag.
It costs about $500 per visit and numerous visits over many months to achieve results.
The treatment uses a hand held laser to heat a solution that is applied to the area of unwanted hair and destroy the hair follicle.
Facial hair removal by laser has to be performed by a licensed professional.
The other more permanent method I researched was electrolysis.
Again this method has a very high price tag and required even more visits that laser hair removal.
The electrolysis treatments uses and electrical current to destroy the hair root.
This procedure take several visits as the treatment requires each root be destroyed individually.
This method also requires a licensed professional.
So these are the longer lasting and permanent hair removal options I found.
Both cost time and money but I believe it would be worth it in time.
