If you're a fan of the Kardashiansin any way shape or form, then you already know who Kris Jenner is. If you're not - well, maybe you've heard of her husband, Bruce, the famous Olympic gold medalist who married Kris in 1991.

And if all else fails, it's likely you've seen Jenner's daughters - Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian - on TV, in the news, on the Internet and so on and so forth. If not, take a little time now to get to know Kris Jenner.

She could be the next big thing in daytime talk show TV.

Jenner was born Kristen Mary Houghton on November 5, 1955, in San Diego, Calif. She is the older sister of Karen Houghton and the daughter of Mary Jo and Robert Houghton. The Houghtons divorced when Jenner was seven. She and her sister were raised by her single mother.

Jenner attended high school and some college, but spent the better part of her early career as a stay-at-home parent.

Becoming a Kardashian
When Jenner was 23 - and still Kris Houghton - she met and later married Robert Kardashian. Kardashian was a defense attorney and most notably represented suspected murderer O.J. Simpson during the former NFL all-star's trial in the 1990s.

Robert and Kris had three daughters and one son together - Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob.

Then, in 1991, Kris divorced Robert and, only one month later, married former athlete Bruce Jenner. Allegedly, the divorce was precipitated by more than one affair between Kris and another man. According to reports, Kris confessed to having an affair with Todd Waterman, an athlete and animator.

She remained friends with Robert throughout his life, though their relationship was strained during the O.J. Simpson trial. The Kardashians and Nicole Brown Simpson were friends and Kardashian's defense of her accused killer did not sit well.

Keeping up with Jenner's Daughters
In October 2007, the E! network debuted a new reality show in the same vain as MTV's popular reality show, The Osbournes. This show focused on the family of Bruce and Kris Jenner, specifically on Kris's daughters, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe. The show continues today, clocking in over 100 episodes.

The show catapulted all three daughters and Kris Jenner into the celebrity spotlight. Kris has capitalized on the success of the show by taking part in a number of other reality programs and talk shows, typically as a guest host, guest or special appearance.

In summer 2013, Jenner hosted her own daytime talk show, Kris, which received a six-week trial run on Fox affiliates throughout the U.S., including Los Angeles, New York, Charlotte, N.C., Dallas, Minneapolis, Minn. and Phoenix. The show followed the traditional format of most daytime talk shows, debating hot topics of the day, discussing social and moral issues and interviewing celebrity guests - all with a Kardashian flare.

If the show is picked up, it will debut in 2014. There's no guarantee Fox stations will pick up the show. Many of those stations passed on The Ricki Lake Show, and that program fell to low ratings after one season in 2012-2013.

Fans of Kris Jenner and the Kardashian clan will just have to wait and see. Perhaps if traditional networks pass on Jenner's show, it will find life on the network that made the Kardashians a household name, the E! Network.
