On any given day in the United States, there are over one and a half million people flying.
With this many people in the air, a common problem is motion sickness.
Travel sickness is very uncomfortable for those who are afflicted by it.
In order to have more pleasant experiences on planes, a person can try these different altitude remedies to help ease motion sickness.
Eat Before You Fly In order to ease nausea, it is best to have a light meal before getting on a plane.
Drinking plenty of water with crackers or bread can make a big difference.
Stay away from foods that cause upset stomach such as grease.
Adding fruits and vegetables can help too.
Herbal Tea A cup of ginger tea on the way to the airport can help prevent the symptoms of travel sickness.
Add some lemon and peppermint to the tea for added effects.
Besides ginger tea, a person can have a cup of just peppermint tea, or a cup of tea made from horehound.

Do Not Drink Alcohol Do not drink alcohol the day before the flight.
Alcohol often makes people sick to their stomach the following day, so drinking the night before a flight will only make motion sickness worse.

In the same respect, stay away from other people who feel sick.
Their sickness can cause others who are sensitive to become sick as well.
Before flying, keep these altitude remedies in mind.
Use one, or all of the recommendations to ensure a good flight.
If medication prior to boarding works, then just do that.
If the motion sickness is more severe, try a combination of these remedies.
