      Phoenix is Arizona's capital and one of the largest cities in the United States. The city has a dessert climate and attracts many residents for its mild winters and sunny days. The city is home to several performing-arts and cultural venues and has many fine-dining establishments, most with a notable Mexican influence. Phoenix has several hotels that are welcoming to visitors traveling with pets.

    • The Sheraton Crescent Hotel allows pets under the condition that the pets do not damage the property and that no other guests complain about noise. Rooms offer flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers and private balconies. The hotel is 100 percent smoke-free. The hotel features basketball courts, lighted outdoor tennis courts, a sauna and an outdoor heated pool with a 166-foot water slide. Restaurants within half a mile of the hotel include Let's DO Lunch‎, Denny's, Fuddruckers, Tim Finnegan's, Schlotzsky's‎, Subway and Blimpie Subs. The hotel is 11 miles from the Phoenix Art Museum, 12 miles from the Heard Museum, 25 miles from the Desert Botanical Gardens and 20 miles from Taliesen West.

    Arizona Biltmore

    • The Arizona Biltmore allows pets but requires a $100 deposit, $50 of which may be refunded to you should your pets not cause damages. The hotel has a unique history, being the only operating hotel in the world whose design was influenced by legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright and playing host frequently to composer Irving Berlin, who wrote "White Christmas" while at the hotel. The hotel offers oversize rooms with Mission-style furniture, mini bars and high-speed Internet access. From 9 am to 5 pm the hotel offers a program for kids ages 4 through 12 that involves swimming, tennis, bike riding and arts and crafts. The hotel provides a shuttle to the Biltmore Fashion Park. In addition to the room fee, the resort also charges a "resort fee" of $28 per room per night as of August 2010. Restaurants within a mile of the hotel include Wright's, Adobe Restaurant‎, Delux, Donovan's Steak & Chop House‎ and Tarbell's Restaurant.

    Crowne Plaza Hotel, Phoenix Airport

    • The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Phoenix Airport is adjacent to the airport and allows pets up to 50 pounds with a $50 non-refundable fee. Rooms here offer work desks with lamps and wireless high-speed Internet access. The hotel features a whirlpool, a fitness center and a business center. The regions light-rail system stops in front of the hotel and makes several stops in the downtown area. Restaurants within half a mile of the hotel include Jack In the Box‎, Golden Buddha, Szechwan Palace Chinese Restaurant‎, Ruby Tuesday and Gateway Café. The hotel is two miles from Phoenix Municipal Stadium, 26 miles from the University of Phoenix Stadium and seven miles from Old Town Scottsdale.
