- 1). If it appears as if your the color plane has shifted, causing the screen to present two pictures---a blue, out-of-focus one located behind a blurry, semi-normal one---remove the lamp and examine the color wheel, which is the most likely culprit.
- 2). If your HDTV abruptly turned off and now turns off every few seconds, with only audio being detected, it is most likely your TV's lamp. You can take it out and put it back in, which usually stops the problem temporarily. Chances are, however, that you'll need to replace your old lamp with a new one.
- 3). If your Samsung HDTV's lamp isn't starting up even though the lamp is either new or in good condition, check the ballast. It is most likely faulty, and it can easily be replaced.
- 4). If the vertical edges of your Samsung HDTV screen wiggle regardless of the input source, check the f-box. It is the features box that routes all of the inputs.
- 5). If your HDTV doesn't show picture but still plays audio, turn off the power and unplug the set for five minutes, then plug it back in and try again. The problem is most likely that the set is in shutdown or protection mode because the internal circuits have detected something wrong with the voltage or current of the television. Unplugging the set for a few muinutes usually resets the main micro enables the set to resume working properly.
