Now no one perhaps would deny that mankind is on the brink of great change, with the recent global economic crisis, the planets climate changes happening, the high speed of communications, via the internet.

Their civilization ended many years ago, so people in today's world may easily shrug off their 2012 doomsday prophecy.
But many events which were predicted by the Mayan calendar have come true! For example, (as we now know to be fact,) one astronomical phenomenon the Mayans figured out, that will happen on December 21st 2012.
When the sun comes up on that day, in Central America, it will be facing directly in the direction of Sagittarius in the exact centre of the galaxy.
The Mayans had amazing skills when it came to such things as astronomy and mathematics.
For example, they were the first population to devise a calendar system.
They also had mathematical calculators.
Finally this ancient people made incredible structures which we would find impossible to create in today's modern world.
So, is it a warning to the human race of a catastrophic impending danger which will mark an end of planet earth? Whether you believe it to be true or not, isn't it at least better to be informed and prepared just in case?
