Makeup Tips for Brides

Like any other bride, you want to look just perfect on your wedding day. The main thing to remember is to make sure that your wedding makeup is different from you day to day makeup. Minimal makeup or the kind that most women apply on a daily basis does not translate very well in photographs. And one thing you want to be sure of is that those photos come out well. And God knows there are no second chances on that one!

You probably have your own make up ideas for your wedding. That's great. It has to be something that you like and not something you read in an article. But there are some things to keep in mind to ensure that your plans turn out all right.

• You will cry on your wedding day. Out of pure joy that is. And there are few things uglier than your mascara running down your face with your tears. So make sure that your mascara is waterproof. There are many waterproof products out there so you have no excuse to ignore this one.

• The latest range of long-lasting lipstick comes not only with lipstick but also a separate moisturizer for the lips. This is because long-lasting lipstick actually dries your lips considerably, so the moisturizer helps keep them hydrated. Once you have applied the color, keep that moisturizer handy for a touch up every couple of hours. However, make doubly sure that you try this out several times before the big day. Long-lasting lipstick is hard to remove. So if you get it on wrong, you could be walking around all day not looking your best. So practice, practice, practice till you can practically do it in the dark.

• The same goes for all the other products you will be using. Test each and every one of them at least two months before your wedding day. It would be tragic if you realize on the big day that you are allergic to some minute ingredient in your lip balm, thus ending up with an itchy rash on your face.

• Lastly, get one of your pals to be your spot checker. This person is responsible for keeping a tab on what you look like all day long. If you need a touch up, it's their job to come running and tell you. This is an important task so make sure you get someone trustworthy to do it.
