I recently interviewed 11 mothers who make money blogging.
  This article presents 11 tips that they shared with me.
  If you take these tips to heart, your blog will have a much greater likelihood of being profitable.

1. Make certain that you love your subject, or you are likely to burn out or get bored, and give up.
   
2. Learn about your traffic, and only accept ads that your visitors are likely to want to read.
   
3. Start to monetize your blog soon.
     If you wait, you're likely to alienate readers who have become used to an ad-free site.
     If your blog has no advertising, and you move into it in the future, your visitors are likely to feel offended.
      It's better to be honest upfront.
   Also, you will need to establish relationships with affiliates.
   
4. Be open to a variety of ways to make money.
     These include:  Google AdSense and other Pay-Per-Click services, using an ad-placement network such as Blogher Ad Network.
   
5. Consider becoming an affiliate for relevant products.
     You can sign up with companies like Commission Junction and ClickBank.
    
6. Write to build community.
     Remember that the first goal of any blog is to write content that interests readers.
   
7. Add forums, and encourage readers to participate in those forums.
   
8. If you decide to solicit and add your own ads, pick a single style and size.
   Make the ads unobtrusive.
   
9. Add widgets next to relevant blog copy.
   Some widgets pay 75% commission.
   
10. Offer a V.

      This create a long-term, dependable way to generate revenue.
    
11. Offer e-books that are relevant to your blog subject.
