Toni Sailer was born in Kitzbuhel, Austria where he grew up skiing. He went on to win all three Alpine skiing events: the slalom, giant slalom, and the downhill at the 1956 Winter Olympic games, Toni was the first skier to achieve this amazing feat. He nearly did it again in the next Winter Olympics where he skied away with two gold and a silver medal. He also won five out of six world championships he competed in as well, making him arguably the best ski racer of all time.
