- 1). Fill your hand stripper's tank with gas if it is gas-powered. If it is electric, then make sure you have a very long extension cord to enable you hit every spot of grass.
- 2). Walk the hand stripper up and down the grassed area. The stripper will come in contact with the grass seed crop, beating the seeds out of the grass. The seeds will then be deposited into the seed hopper located in the back of the stripper.
- 3). Remove the seed hopper when finished. Clean the seeds well, removing the green husks and stems, and dry them out for a day or two. Place them into a bag and store in a cool, dry place.
