- While airport security at Gatwick allows you to take more than one item of carry-on baggage through security, check with your airline to determine how many carry-ons you are allowed to take on board the flight.
- All carry-ons must not exceed the dimensions of 22 inches by 17.7 inches by 10 inches in order to proceed through Gatwick's security checkpoints. Place your bag in your airline's hand baggage size restriction box if you are unsure whether it meets your airline's size limit.
- Your liquid and lotion items are restricted to a size of 100 ml. and must all fit inside one clear, plastic 1-liter bag in order to pass through Gatwick's hand luggage security checkpoints. Baby food and medicines are exceptions to this rule, but you must be willing to taste these items while passing through security.
- Sharp items, flammable objects and poison are restricted from hand baggage.
- If you purchase duty free items after passing through airport security, you may take them on board for the rest of your journey as long as they remain sealed in the bag given by the retailer. Keep your receipt handy in the airport while passing any security checkpoint.
