Different buildings and houses require different types of furniture. Whether it is a home, a restaurant or a school, the furniture differs. Here are different pieces of furniture that are used in schools:

Benches: Usually, students all over the world use benches to sit. These benches may be made out of any material; with the common material being used is wood or iron. Benches are made in such a way that they are sturdy and strong, and would take the daily wear and tear of school life.

Desks: Desks are the furniture used by students to keep their books on. Most probably, the desks have a ridge to place objects like pen, pencils and even chalk. Desks can be created out of many materials too, iron and wood being the most popular.

In some cases, benches and desks are built together, and are actually attached to each other. This more or less creates a complete set up for the student.

Chairs and Tables: Apart from the students, a teacher too uses furniture, but the furniture is more like office furniture. The furniture that the teacher uses would be an office chair and a table. The chair is not fancy, as a fancy chair would not look good in a school setup.

The school and classroom would also have rudimentary furniture like a cupboard to store the student's books, textbooks and answer papers etc. In some cases, a cupboard would be used to even store objects that the students have forgotten in school.
