Indian restaurants have a particularly large niche in the city, which boasts many that can be found in D.C.'s various neighborhoods, frequented by locals and visitors alike. - The Bombay Club is an Indian restaurant that prides itself on casual elegance, according to its website. It is a fine dining restaurant that has attracted the likes of past presidents, ambassadors and movie stars. Food & Wine, U.S.A. Today and Esquire Magazine have all given The Bombay Club acclaim. It has also been noted as a Distinguished Restaurant of North America winner multiple times since 1996.
The menu offers appetizers like Malabari shrimp, calamari balchao, spicy duck kebab, mango fish tikka and corn mushroom samosa. Entrees include adraki lamb chops, a seafood grill, chile chicken chops, Bombay thali, goa fish curry, snapper pulusu, lemon rice with cashews and a variety of vegetarian dishes.
