I've got a funny story to share with you today. I think
you'll get a lot out of it.
My younger brother is visiting for the summer as he regularly
does.
Boy does time fly. I remember when I used to be able to put
this kid on my shoulders and carry him around. I remember
when he used to run around the house saying "Hey Buddy!"
Not anymore, he's about 6 foot 3 and is 17 and going on to
be a senior in high school.
First thing the kid did when he got here is started playing
video games.
I have one of the newer video game systems out there called
the "Nintendo Wii." Don't play it much, but it's a good
stress reliever from time to time.
Josh is different. He saw one of the games I had and in 3
days logged 45 hours on the game beating it.
Before he began he said "I better beat this thing quick or
I'll be at it all summer."
And that my friend is exactly what he did.
From the time he woke up to the time he went to sleep around
3am he was hitting the video games hard and accomplished his
goal of beating it quite quickly.
To be honest, I was surprised.
What if you attacked your business with the same singular
focus of mind and persistent effort he did?
How much quicker would reach the level of income you desire?
What holds you back is you take yourself and your business
to seriously. Literally treat it like a game as you attack
its problems.
In a video game, if you lose you just hit reset and start
over again and you just get to it again with a different
strategy until you win.
The only purpose of video games is entertainment, and for
entertainment, as you can see in the example above, we'll go
above and beyond the call of duty.
When you're having fun it's natural to focus on what's
bringing you that entertainment.
Make your business a little more fun, don't take it too
seriously, and if you hit a roadblock just start again and
try a different strategy.
To the top,
