Many people are having a tough time in this economy.
Perhaps, reader, you are one of these individuals.
And if so, let me hopefully disabuse you of that mindset with these next several lines.
Possibly, just possibly, that way of thinking is what got you into this funk in the first place.
Just maybe you agreed that you have to experience difficulty or failure because of the "economy," all because others seem also to have fallen victim to this trap.
So why not join them, you know? Well, I am here to tell you that there is no actual valid or justified reason to follow suit into the mire and descend into that pitfall.
Of course, this seems easier said than done.
However, I have walked the talk.
Early last year, my father's business, a luxury commodity in the construction industry, which was one of the hardest hit of all fields by the way, nearly crashed.
He enlisted my help, and, together, we worked not only to revert the business into a viable production and income range, but into affluence and profitability.
This year alone, there have been more prospective clientele and commissioned projects than even his highest year a few years back.
Even the Daily News did a feature article on our success as we flew defiantly into the teeth of this monstrous ogre called the "recession.
" It can be done.
Your very first action is to make the decision that you flat-out refuse to experience any adverse reactions from the state of this economy.
Next, realize that work is always out there - always.
Money is always out there to be had - just a fact.
Unbelievable? Well, look at the fact that there is someone in your field, right this very minute, that is prospering in his or her career.
So the work is factually potentially always present.
You just need to go and find it.
And how exactly do you do that? You promote, and do so in tremendous volume.
Especially with such indispensable tools to hand like the internet, you have a seemingly infinite array of means by which to do so.
Chances are, you need to promote far above what you think is adequate.
Perhaps, what you think is adequate just does not cut it anymore.
This is where you need to do your homework.
Investigate.
Confront what volume you actually need to get out.
And research your best avenues to promote.
Much of it can be done for free or very little cost.
Then do so.
Just promote - a whole lot.
And may you never be the same again.
Rather, may you achieve great prosperity instead.
