According to the company website, the Exmark Laser Z mower holds the leading market share in its category in the United States.
- Hustler Turf Equipment, a division of Excel Industries, was founded in 1964, and, according to the company website, is the fastest-growing turf-care brand in the world. It produced its first mid-mount, zero-turn mower in 1985, and now has more than a dozen models of zero-turn riding mowers. They are available with 15- to 27-horsepower engines manufactured by Briggs and Stratton, Kawasaki, Kohler or Shibaura.
- Scag Power Equipment was founded in 1983 as a division of Metalcraft of Maryville, Inc. Scag is now the largest independent manufacturer of commercial mowing equipment in the United States, according to the company website. It offers more than 50 models of commercial mowing equipment, including six zero-turn riding lawn mowers. The mowers are available with air- or liquid-cooled engines, from 27 to 35 horsepower, manufactured by Briggs and Stratton, Briggs-Vanguard, CAT, Kawasaki, Kohler, Kubota and Vanguard.
