Bathrooms are the second most important room in the home, following the kitchen, which takes first not only because it's where we get to eat food, but also because they say both of these rooms can either make or break your home when reselling it.
If you're in the process of moving, and selling or renting your home, these are two rooms you should concentrate on updating.
The bathroom is the easiest room to update, because it's a lot smaller than the kitchen and typically doesn't have as many big necessities either, like a fridge or stove.
One easy way to update your bathroom from looking old and worn is to take a look at installing a classic footed bath tub.
They are beautiful and instantly class up the bathroom, leaving it looking new and fresh.
You can also get a new vanity that you've been dying to replace.
They are such convenient and efficient ways to store things in the bathroom, while maintaining a beautiful and luxurious look.
If your kitchen could use a bit of work, don't worry! We have easy fixes for that too.
A new kitchen island can make the difference between "outdated" and looking "modern.
" The kitchen center island is being found in more and more homes, as people are realizing what a great tool it is.
Not only does it provide extra storage space for kitchen appliances, but it also provides an abundance of extra counter space, making it easier to prepare meals.
It's also great if you need additional serving areas, or have company over a lot.
While these are just some small additions and renovations you can perform to revamp your home's most important rooms for reselling, or just because you're looking to redecorate, there are plenty of others.
You could paint the walls, which is an extremely inexpensive option with big results.
Choose a vibrant color for the bathroom, but keep in mind the lighter the color the larger the room will look, so if you have a small space, you probably wouldn't want to paint it a dark chocolate.
You can also consider replacing your cabinets, either just re-facing them which is much cheaper, or doing the whole layout.
While this is a huge undertaking, it can payoff later down the line.
Any of these suggestions can significantly increase the value of your home, and they'll also help you enjoy your home more, you may even end up not wanting to sell! Take a good look around, and take note of what looks old, or what things are important to you.
You will enjoy your upgrade that much more if it's something you enjoy everyday, such as a bath in a footed tub or cooking with a kitchen island.
