Can I make money online? The short answer is, well - no.
At least, probably not.
You see, 99% of online marketers fail.
Sure there are some "mom and pop" internet sites that get traffic and make some sales, but more often than not, the sites making the real sales are sites affiliated with big name companies.
Walmart.
Target.
Amazon.
Et.
al.
But most individuals that seek out new opportunities from the online world get sucked into the hype and scams, lose money, get discouraged and get burnt out.
I have been in the online world now for going on about 17 years.
And that is just the website design, marketing and SEO portion of it.
I have seen the early scammers.
The fly-by-nighters.
The, buy my product and I will guarantee you riches by next week.
Yes, I can confidently say that I have seen, read and heard it all - and even bought some of it.
The ideas of sitting in your pajamas and typing for 5 minutes per week, and all of the stock photos of mansions, sports cars, beaches, yachts, bathrobes and coffee.
The alleged "proof" that it is possible for just that $25 dollar payment, "heck, that's less than a starbucks coffee each morning, for a place in your financial freedom!" lines.
It's just too good to dream about and not at least try something.
They hook you, so you pull out your credit card and buy it.
And as soon as you open this "awesome package!" you are blown away.
Not from quality content, but from realizing that you just purchased something, perhaps again, that's totally worthless.
So, you get discouraged.
You may get depressed.
You go back to the website and look for the "refund" button.
Luckily, you see a link to submit your claim.
You at best never hear back, and at worse get an automatic reply from the ISP that it is unable to locate an email address with that name.
You feel you have been scammed.
Again.
By now, it's 10 or 11 PM, and you have to go to work to your JOB tomorrow.
You are dejected, close your laptop and head to bed.
I have been there.
I have done that.
By the time you wake up, you submit to the realization that every product out there is a scam, and your JOB is the best you are going to do, and there will not be a magic potion that will make you money.
So, when you ask me if you will make money online I in turn ask you.
Do you have the will to make it online? Do you have the resolve to spend hours, days, weeks, months...
Years...
to achieve making money online? Most people believe that they do, but don't.
So no, you will not make money online.
But, there are the few that have that resolve.
That can achieve, not riches, but a comparable salary to their JOB with fewer hours.
So, do you have the resolve?
