Almost everyone I speak to at the gym who is looking to build muscle thinks the same thing at some point.
Should I use supplements? It is a common question and one that does not have a definitive answer.
But it should be said that supplements are by no means a magic bullet that will give you instant lean muscle.
You could actually get the same impact on your body without using supplements and training correctly.
What supplements can provide is an easy burst of protein that you would otherwise need to eat as part of a meal.
So they can be convenient but definitely not the answer to your prayers that the manufacturer of the products would like you to believe.
If you consider the expense of the products as well I would suggest they are far from essential.
What will have a much bigger impact is the way you are training.
If you can do high intensity sessions for about half an hour you should see a big improvement.
The fact that you are training hard for this time will help you more than a long and languorous workout.
Do not do more than 3 or 4 sessions each week and all ow yourself to be fully recovered before training again.
Another convenient option is to use the machines you find at the gym.
Many trainers actually recommend you just use free weights though as they make you balance the weights naturally and so have a bigger impact.
The money and power held by large gyms and supplement companies would not like you to know these things but if you stick to a solid routine and diet you can get the physique you want without the expense.
