Open Studios Weekends in Amsterdam

I find art far more interesting when I know something about either the creator or the inspiration behind it. These Open Studios (also called Open Ateliers) weekends in Amsterdam offer visitors the perfect opportunity not only to meet artists and pick their brains in their own workspaces, but also to explore the different districts of Amsterdam from where these creative minds churn out their work.

The following Open Studios dates are for 2010.

All studios are open to the public free of charge. The events take place on Saturdays and Sundays, from 12 noon to 6 p.m. The central exhibition point listed for each neighborood features one piece by each participating artist. Although most of the websites listed are in Dutch, they typically have a map of locations to help you find your way.
