7 Reasons Why People Fail

Why do people fail in the home based business industry? I could give you hundreds of reasons but for now I've narrowed it down to just seven.

1. Communication:
It's all about how you present yourself/communicate to your prospect. You don't tell them that you want them to be successful, it's how you come across to them that matters. It's all in your mindset. You can't have short-term thinking. You have to be in this for the long haul. You must be a thinker and a doer.

2. Conditional commitment:

Conditional commitment is when you decide that if your business doesn't explode within a given amount of time then you are quitting. Or if your clients quit after a certain amount of time then so are you. When you speak with your prospects, they can tell in your voice what type of commitment you have. You need to be 100% committed in order to succeed. Small efforts will get you small results.

3. Lack of skill:
Get professional specialized skills. Think back to your first job. Did you have the skills to perform that job to the best of your ability? Probably not! So where did you learn your skills? Some people were taught on the job training, some attended classes or some were sent to seminars. Why would having an online business be any different? Lack of skills and training will lead to total frustration, discouragement and disappointment. Learning your skill builds your confidence and therefore you will succeed.

4. Lack of belief:
Lack of belief is a huge cause of failure. It can lead to hopelessness, it makes you tired, if makes you fearful, it makes you negative and it makes you depressed. So what is the solution? Belief - it brings you joy, satisfaction, hope and the attitude of a professional and a champion. People will follow those who believe. When you hang around people who believe, you will become motivated. It definitely rubs off.

5. Big Ego:
People with a big ego won't do what they are taught. When people get a little bit of success, their head swells up and they become unteachable. The big egos are the people that end up failing in the long run. When you're teachable, you are humble. Those kinds of people are on the road to freedom; they are always learning and always growing. You want to work on improving your skills; communication skills, business skills, team building skills and personal skills.

6. Focusing in the wrong place:
When you focus on the prospects that didn't sign up, you are focusing in the wrong place. You start blaming others. It's the company, the web site, the script, my sponsor hasn't helped me, etc. That is not the cause of failure. Focus on the one good thing that is working for you. Set your mind on the improvement and not the discouragement.

7. Not working:
You aren't giving it your best shot or you are always waiting for the perfect circumstances. Every day is filled with imperfect circumstances. Don't focus on what isn't working and focus on what is working. Make the best of the circumstances that you have in front of you. Those that make the best of what you have are the ones that will win. Some people think that if they can just find the perfect company, they will be successful. What is mandatory to your success is that you step up. That you think long-term. You have to be totally 100% committed.

The bottom line is that if you are truly committed to what you want, you will make it happen. If you don't know the way, if you don't have the money, if you don't have the skills, whatever the reason may be, you will find it. It all has to do with how bad you want something.
