Digital Camera Buying Checklist

Wouldn't it be nice, if you could just ask a trusted friend what would be the best digital camera for you, and you would get a precise and honest answer? That would be very nice.
The friend would know exactly what kind of pictures you like to take, where you like to take them, what kind of features you would find useful, what your budget was, and what your technical photographic abilities were.
That would be a good friend to have.
You'd end up with a camera that would do exactly what you wanted to, would be easy to use, would be reliable, and wouldn't break your bank account.
Well, believe it or not there are a friends like that around the internet.
Of course they can't read your mind, you have to give them a little information.
But once they have that information, they will recommend quite a few good and appropriate digital cameras.
Before we get to that though, let's have you give a little thought to the following points.
1.
What kind of pictures do you like to take? There probably are several, but try and choose one or two.
They could be portraits, landscapes, sports, action, weddings, candid, or even fireworks.
2.
What is your level of photograph experience? Beginner, serious amateur, or professional.
You can of course move through these levels with a little practice.
But give some thought to not just where your are now, but where you plan to be a year or two from now.
3.
What kind of budget do you have to work with? Bear in mind, that buying less expensive cameras now, could limit your ability to upgrade your camera in the future.
Compact digital cameras are pretty difficult to upgrade, whereas SLR cameras are very upgradeable.
4.
Is now the right time to buy? There always seems to be something better coming around the corner in technology, but that never changes.
No sooner do you turn one corner in technology, then another is waiting for you.
At the moment, prices are pretty low, quality is high, technology is user friendly, and most retailers are anxious for business.
The links listed below, should help in your camera buying decision.
