Paintballing in Bournemouth on a Stag Weekend

Paintballing is a classic stag weekend activity that never seems to lose its popularity with stag parties year after year.
A perfect mix of adrenaline, skill and stamina it's no wonder that the guys just can't seem to get enough of it.
Paintballing is a great group activity even if you have members in your stag party who have never been before.
A classic stag weekend activity partners well with a classic stag weekend destination and one that's been rising through the ranks of popularity in the past few years is the fantastic Dorset coastal town of Bournemouth.
Here we look at the benefits of a paintballing stag weekend in Bournemouth.
Why Paintballing? It's no accident that paintballing is one of the most asked for activities on a stag weekend.
If you've never been before then the premise behind the sport is very simple.
You and your friends will be decked out in overalls, helmet and visor and given a gun that fires pellets filled with paint that explode on impact.
These cheeky pellets are fired up to speeds of 165mph so that impact can be quite a pinch - but according to the stags, that's all part of the fun! Depending on the size of your group you are usually split into teams to participate in a series of games either in an outdoor setting such as a forest, or manmade course, or possibly an indoor urban landscape.
Great for teamwork The games usually involve a degree of strategy and team work, such as capturing your opponent's flag from their camp and taking it back to yours without being hit.
It's a great activity to build team spirit in a group and quite often you have people in a stag party who might not know each other very well.
Paintballing is a fun ice breaker as you have to get chatting to each other in order to be victorious! Why Bournemouth? Set on the south coast of England in the beautiful Dorset countryside, Bournemouth is a beautiful town that is the perfect backdrop for a stag weekend away.
It used to be much more conservative and reserved, but with the formation of the university from the polytechnic, a new lease of life was injected into the town as an influx of students arrived in the area.
Bournemouth is easy to get to from the surrounding areas and well served by railway services into Bournemouth Train Station and London Waterloo can be reached using South West Trains in under 2 hours.
Bournemouth is a vibrant student town and with 6 miles of beautiful beaches, a popular tourist destination in the summer time.
Naturally, stag and hen parties rate Bournemouth high on the list of top weekend party spots.
Where to go on an evening The majority of the nightlife in Bournemouth is situated in the pedestrian zones of the town centre inland from the seafront.
There are a couple of nightclubs on the seafront in Bournemouth, but it's a few minutes walk from the main hub of night time activity.
A popular start to the evening is to head towards the town centre from Holdenhurst road where you'll pass a lot of venues popular with students such as The Inferno and Heat Bar.
Walking past the roundabout onto Old Christchurch Road you'll follow a trail of popular chain bars like Yates's and O'Neils as well as some independent trendy bars like DNA and Bar Fruit.
Once you reach the pedestrian area of Bournemouth town centre you'll experience the vibrant and cosmopolitan atmosphere of some excellent evening venues such as Alcatraz Wine Bar and the very popular Consortium.
Whether you're looking for a cheerfully cheesy night out or an upmarket evening, you'll be certain to find it on a night out in Bournemouth!
