Located on the edge of Sacramento, Folsom offers both water recreation and a fascinating history. It's home to one of the earliest electrical stations in California, a site that's listed on several historic registers. The town also offers a historic downtown with a museum and one-of-a-kind stores like Snook's, the combination chocolate store and creamery. - Folsom Lake SRA is part of the California State Park system and offers two individual campgrounds, Beal's Point and Peninsula, and a group campground, Negro Bar at nearby Lake Natoma. Lake Folsom offers swimming, fishing and boating activities, though sometimes the water is too low to accommodate these. Other recreation offered here is a cycling path that offers access to the American River bicycle trail: The energetic can cycle to Sacramento, 32 miles away.
Beal's Point is open to the public for day use as well as camping. It has picnic areas, barbecue pits and grassy areas for games. Facilities include a snack bar that rents beach and boat equipment, such as canoes and jet skis. You can learn to windsurf here or arrange group catering. The Beal's Point campground has 69 non-electric sites, though water, shower blocks and a dump station are available. It can accommodate RVs up to 31 feet long. Peninsula, with its 100 sites, may be closed depending on conditions and can accommodate your RV up to 24 feet long.

It's a 30 mile drive from Folsom, but offers the advantage of easy access to both towns through the light rail system. The RV park offers full hookups with 30 or 50 amp electrical service. You can use the wireless Internet, or opt for a cable TV and phone hookup if your stay is longer.
Site amenities include a small club room, shower blocks, laundromat and swimming pool. The RV park accommodates overnighters, short-term and long-term travelers. The campground is located on the Sacramento River and has paved roads and wooded spaces.

The RV campground offers 79 full hookup sites with mature shade trees and a summer-season swimming pool. It provides wireless Internet and both 30 and 50 amp sites. You can take advantage of daily, weekly and monthly rates.
The clubhouse has a television, a club house to hang out with other campers and a lending library. The store sells propane and other amenities and has a separate dump station and shower block. Other facilities include a play yard, laundry and storage facilities.
