A business owner.
A guy who owns his own thing.
That person that radiates a feeling of wealth, freedom from having to report to a boss, freedom from having to go to work, a guy driving that nice car and living in that nice house.
We say about him: "Sure, he can afford it, he has his own business!" or "Obviously, he runs his own business!" We are absolutely comfortable explaining somebody's successes by this "having his own business"-thing, and, yet, the idea of becoming one of this people terrifies us like nothing else.
Go ask any of your friends if they would be interested in joining you in a home based business - without any preparation they will give you at list five reasons why it's not going to work.
They have never done it, they have never known anybody who'd tried it, but they know for sure that "You are going to lose everything on that.
" Why do we act this way? What happened in our past that we've become so conditioned to fail? Why is the failure so obvious and understandable for us? When has it become a default outcome of any situation? There are a couple of aspects to the problem.
The entire concept of our education, known as The Prussian System, is a training, including skills an the mindset, that a student receives in order to become an employee.
We are taught throughout school an college that the only option we have to become a valuable member of the society - is to become a good employee, to get a job and to spend more than forty years slaving for somebody else and, hopefully, we will earn a retirement that will allow us to quietly die without disturbing our kids and asking them for money.
We are taught, that the only way available to us to express ourselves is to become somebody else's worker, to be dependent on somebody and to be reworded in life for satisfying somebody else.
We are told that there is nothing un-dignifying about that, quite opposite, receiving a pat on the back and a few bucks from your boss is a good thing, mainly because this is the only way to make a living.
Remember, when you were a kid, you were planning on becoming either an astronaut or a captain or a jet-pilot? So, how did you end up becoming an office worker or an insurance salesman? Because in school and college you were explained that, it's impractical, you need to make money and provide for your family, and you need something real, like to become an engineer or an accountant.
Before you know it you are already employed by somebody and already complaining about not being able to afford the lifestyle you want and the things you want.
Few years down the road it becomes a normality for you and next thing you know you are teaching you kids to follow your steps.
That's what your parents taught you, that's what your kids will teach their kids unless somebody in this chain will have enough balls to break the cycle and to turn things around.
By turning things around I mean becoming your own boss and regaining control of your future! It so scary! Mainly because it's something new, something you've never done before.
Especially something like an Internet based business, with all the hype and rumors about it! That's where the "Comfort Zone" comes to play.
How do we learn anything in life? There is only one way - repetition.
Remember, you try to write, it looks awful in the beginning, but you keep re-writing the same word over and over and become good at it.
By now you don't even think how to do it, you just know.
The same way you learn to ride a bike, to play tennis, pick up girls and to order food in the restaurant.
Through repetition you become who you are as well.
In the beginning you go to work and you hate everything about it: having to wake up early, having to report to your boss, having to take from people there the treatment that you are not accustomed to.
You keep thinking that one day it's going to change, that it's only a temporary situation, but year goes after year and nothing is changing.
One day you realize that you've become a typical representative of people of your occupation: a guy driving particular car, eating particular food, dressing at a particular store, the guy who's income level is what ever it is, $35,000 a year, plus or minus 10 - 15%.
Through repetition you learn action, behavior and thoughts that will define you for the rest of your life.
Your actions, behavior and thoughts will separate the world into two parts: familiar and not familiar.
The former will feel comfortable and friendly, and the latter will cause your brain to give you a burst of adrenalin, letting you know that you are stepping out of your comfort zone.
A minuscule amount of this substance will dictate your actions, the decisions you make and ultimately your destiny! "It's in the moment of making a decision when the destiny is formed!"-said Tony Robbins.
But you are not going to make a decision about doing anything unfamiliar because of that adrenalin in your blood.
Like an airplane on autopilot you will be getting back to what is familiar and to what you are accustomed to.
Your friends and family will gladly help you with this task! Your income is an average income of seven of your closest friends.
Look around yourself: you don't hang out with anybody making significantly less than you, because you don't quite understand their lifestyle, and you don't hang around people making significantly more than you because you don't have anything in common either.
So, ask any of your friends (who is working 9 to 5 and making $35,000 a year) advise about starting a home based business and making a six-figure income.
What kind of opinions do you think you will hear? You know it, "It's not going to work!" And you will gladly use their opinion to justify your decision.
It's much easier for you to continue doing what you are doing, even though you don't like it and deep inside you feel that you deserve a better life and more money.
"People are having hard time letting go of their suffering.
Out of fear of the unknown they prefer suffering that is familiar.
" Thich Nhat Hanh wrote these words hundreds of years ago.
Did he write it about you? So, there you are, after having heard about Global Resorts Network, after having watched numerous testimonials, after having studied everything about this business, you are still sitting there and worrying: "What if I still don't know something, what if there is something I need to find out before I get started, what if, what if, what if...
" Here is a story for you.
When I just started practicing Tae Kwon Do, before my first tournament, (I was in the orange belt rank back then) I went to talk to my coach and I said: "Master Shilkaitis (that was his name), I think I might want to participate in sparring, but I still feel that I'm not ready yet and I'm not good enough.
" And he said: "You will never feel that you are absolutely 100% ready! It's just the matter of finding strength and desire to win and overcoming your fear! Plus without actually sparring with somebody you will never know how good you are!" I took a third place for a spectacular knock-out with a round house kick to the head.
It doesn't happen even in the black belt category every day.
I was so frightened, that I still don't remember how it happened! I could go on and on with all the explanations and motivational speeches, but you know the concept already: it's a decision that you have to make consciously! Nothing will change on it's own! If you continue doing what you've been doing, you will continue getting the results you've been getting! Change your life today! It will be scary in the beginning, it will feel very uncomfortable and strange, but that's when you know that you are changing things! You want success, you want money, you want recognition - make a decision! Next time you hear "Sure, he can afford it, he has his own business!" - it will be about you!
