- 1). Connect the Kindle to your computer using its USB cable. The computer will automatically detect the Kindle as a mass storage device and assign it a drive letter.
- 2). Open the Kindle's allocated drive on a Windows computer by clicking its icon in "My Computer," or by double-clicking the drive icon on the Mac's desktop. Inside the Kindle's drive will be three folders called "audible," "music" and "documents."
- 3). Drag and drop your Mobipocket files into the Kindle's "documents" folder. Disconnect the Kindle from the USB cable once the transfer is complete.
- 1). Press the "Menu" button on the Kindle's keyboard and select "Settings" using the five-way controller.
- 2). Take note of the Kindle's unique email address detailed on the "Settings" page.
- 3). Create a new email on your computer and add the Mobipocket files as an attachment. You do not need to enter a subject line or any text to the body of the email.
- 4). Send the message to the Kindle's email address. The ebook files will be automatically forwarded to the Kindle and will appear in its library after a few minutes.
