5 Powerful Strategies For Conducting Business Research: Finding Your Niche

There are billions of pages on the World Wide Web, and yet much less than one-half of the world's population is connected to the Internet.
If you spent just 1 second looking at every page, it would take you nearly 32 years just for the first billion.
Spend three seconds on each page, and the number increases to almost 100 years, and that's assuming no changes are made to the existing ones.
Obviously, it's impossible for you to discover everything that's on the 'net.
It means that you need to develop some effective strategies for finding the information you need without devoting your life to it.
Here are five ways for you to do just that.
1.
Look at the Google Ads that appear on the right side of the page of any Google search.
You can be certain that any company that's paying to be on that search page is making money; therefore whatever products they're pushing in your niche will be worth considering.
2.
At the top of nearly every list of web sites that Google returns following a search, there is a list of Paid Ads.
What is true for Step 1 is also true for Step 2.
Google has two categories of paid ads.
One automatically places the ad where Google wants it, and the other does the same thing but lets you decide where to put it manually.
These differences are also priced separately.
3.
Look at the top 20 returns for the key words you search on, omitting those that promote online marketing products (unless you are in the business of selling those types of products).
You should be able to identify the common themes quite easily.
4.
Review the topics of the books in Amazon's best seller list.
This list will contain the titles and pictures of the dust jackets for 100 books.
But, by searching on the terms "amazon" and" [your subject of interest] best sellers", you'll get a list of the bestselling 100 books in your niche.
If you look at just the bestsellers across the board, it's unlikely that you'll be able to identify any meaningful consumer trends.
5.
Visit forums where problems connected with the niche that interests is discussed.
People tend to raise concerns they have on forums, so you should be able to identify the biggest issues among their readers.
