In God's word, we are called to reached out to the world. (Matt 28:19-20) "To Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you..".

The church is commanded to Go and make disciples of all nations but where is the church now? Same sex marriages were legalised in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Abortions were legalised and the murder of millions of innocent unborn babies, The unbalanced wealth between the hyper rich and the ultra poor. Islamic influences in the traditional Christian countries like the United Kingdom and Europe.

As I looked at the history of the church, I am reminded that we are to be the Salt and lamp to the world. Revivals came and go but the world is not transformed. Most of the revivals last for a year or so. What happened? Why didn't the revivals tarries?

In Acts 2:42-47,we read that" All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. The Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. I see such a unity among fellow believers that we can hardly find in most churches now.

A very interesting group of Christians that practise close communal relationship between believers and the world is the Moravian Church. It was founded by John Huss in 1457. Fifty years before the Reformation by Martin Luther.

It was the first church body to begin missionary work even though there was only 300 habitants in its town. Its missionaries reached far away lands like the Arctic, Africa and the Americas.
They were willing to lay down their lives to reach out and minister to the slaves. They also had a prayer chain that lasted for a hundred years.

Have we, God's Church, forgot about our Mandate? The church have become too "institutionised", like a "Clubhouse". We comes to church on sundays for the service and goes back to our "other" life from Mondays to Saturdays. Have we forgot about the many that are need who is struggling to meet life's need? Was the church able to influence major decisions by the ruling authorities affecting the lives in the country?

We are God's Church - Ekklesia (Greek). The word, Ekklesia originated from the Greek language. It is a group of people chosen by the emperor, to be sent to the newly conquered countries and colonies, to influence and bring its culture to the new citizens. Jesus said, "I will build my Church "Ekkelesia" and the gates of hell will not prevail against it". We are called to take the presence and power of God to where the gate of hades are, we are to influence and "colonise" the world.
