Favorite Foods:

Samantha is a healthy eater and feasts on a nutritious varied diet. "She loves all kinds of food" says her mom, Lori, "but peanut butter and cheese are her favorites."

Favorite Toys:

Like many parrots, Samantha just loves to play on her boing. She also likes to play with her music boxes, and will even sing along with some!


She also enjoys shredding things according to her mom, especially pine cones!

Favorite Perches:

Samantha loves to accompany her mom outside to gaze at the sky and perch on their swing. She also loves her special sleeping perches!

Dislikes:

None in particular.

Special Talents:

A multi-talented parrot, Samantha can speak both french and english phrases, and uses her linguistic abilities to call Lori's two dogs by name, and to tell them that they are bad when they bark!

Life with Samantha Alexandra:

Lori and Samantha found each other when Samantha was only 5 months old. "There was this little green parrot without a tail sitting in the bottom of her cage" Lori says. " I kissed her on the top of her head and it was love at first kiss!"

Samantha is Lori's first bird, but has quickly established herself as ruler of the roost. "I have two dogs," says Lori, "who Samantha bosses around! She is sweet and sassy!"

She is also a great companion. During NFL season, Samantha and Lori like to watch the games together.

Whenever Lori says "touchdown", Samantha will yell "Good!"

Lori and Samantha make a great team and show us all how great it can be to have a parrot for a pet. Congratulations, Samantha, on being chosen as Bird of the Week!
