For parents who want their children to experience a productive and enjoyable summer, there are language summer camps located throughout the United States. These summer camps encourage kids to learn new languages and about different cultures. They also assist kids in improving their current foreign language reading, speaking, writing and comprehension skills. - The Concordia Language Villages offers language summer camps to children from 7 to 18. The company offers more than 15 language camps, including Arabic, French, Russian, Swiss, Italian, Korean and Japanese. The locations of the camps vary, depending on the language. Concordia Language Villages recommends that younger students and first-time campers participate in the one-week camp, while older and more experienced campers participate in two- to four-week immersion camps. In 2010, the costs of attendance to the camps are $475 to $3,675, depending on the length and program language.
