Places to Visit in Shirdi

Shridi is a small village in Ahmadnagar district of Maharashtra.
The temple is an important pilgrim place for the people of all religions, castes and creed.
The Shridi temple is devoted to Sai Baba a young fakir of 18th century with Charismatic powers.
This is the place where the sacred body of Sai Baba is resting in his Samadhi.
The Samadhi is built with white marble with decorated railing.
The statue of Baba is made of Italian marble.
The pictures and articles used by Baba are preserved at the first floor of the temple.
Dwarkamai Dwarkamai is an old mosque where Sai Baba came and turned it into Dwarkamai.
Baba stayed in Dwarkamani by the end of his life and solved the problems of people and cured their worries and sickness.
First level of Dwarkamani has a portrait of Sai Baba and a big stone on which Baba used to sit.
There are two rooms on the same level.
In first room a chariot and a Palkhi is kept in them.
The main attraction of Dwarkamani is oil painting of Baba in carved wooden shrine and a wooden vessel 'Kolamba' in which Baba used to take Bhiksha from villagers.
Gurusthan Sai Baba came to Shridi as a child yogi and was first seen sitting under a Neem tree.
This place was called Gurusthan.
A small shrine is there in Gurusthan and on an elevated platform of this shrine you can see a big portrait of Sai Baba.
A marble statue of Baba, Shivling, Nandi, photos of 12 Jyotirlings are kept in the temple.
Chawdi Mandir: On each alternate day Baba used to visit this place and sleep here in the night.
On every Thursday in Shridi there is a trend of palanquin procession of Baba's photo.
Holy Padukas and the Satka are taken to Chawdi Mandir.
It's divided into two parts and a large portrait of Baba along with a wooden bed and second with a white chair belonging to Baba.
Khandoba Mandir: Khandoba Mandir is situated on main road in front of Sai Baba temple.
This temple belongs to the Poojari Mhalsapati who welcomed Baba with words "Aao Sai" when he stepped in Shridi.
In this temple you will find the icons of Khandoba, Banai and Mhalsai.
Lendi Baug This Bagh was made and watered by Baba himself every day.
Baba every morning use to visit this Bagh and rest under the Neem tree.
One octagonal Deep Griha of marble is here in the memory of earthen lamp placed by Baba.
At the entrance of the Baug there are Samadhi of ardent Sai devotees Tatya Kote Patil, Nanavalli, Bhau Maharaj Kumbhar, and Abdul Baba.
