In order to get your eBay listing noticed there are a few things to consider.
Most marketers will tell you that you have 3 seconds to catch a buyers attention in your listings.
Here is how to get buyers to stay on your listing page and convince them to place bids.
The secret is to make your auctions a marketing device.
If you have an eBay Store then this is a tactic for you to consider.
The idea is to drive traffic to your store from your auction page.
Step one.
Create Lots.
The keyword "lot" is used so frequently that many sellers will use this word in every auction title and only sell "lots.
"Lots are bulk amounts of items that are similar or are accessories.
So if you have similar items for sale, put them all in one auction and start the bidding price very low.
Do not put a "buy it now" price.
You want this auction to last as long as it possibly can so that you can get as much traffic to your store inventory as possible.
Step two.
Your description page.
Your description page should have one picture that shows every item for sale and then individual pictures of each item in the lot.
If you are selling fishing rods you can sell the rod, the reel, the tackle, a hat...
all in one auction.
Your description page should contain individual pictures of each item.
Make sure to build these in HTML so that you are not charged picture fees from eBay.
Each picture should link to the item in your store inventory.
The description under each picture should say something like "for more of these click here" or "for this in a different size click here.
" You will see that this style will get your overall conversion rate of sales to be very high.
You will sell the actual auctions, but overall you will dramatically increase your store sales.
Pictures sell, most eBayers barely read anything in the description page, so don't be overly wordy.
