Learn how easy it is to make a sweet bouquet. The directions for this project was shared by Lana Glass, the founder of a fun Web site called Incredible Edible Crafts.
Materials Needed:
- Bud vase
- Green artificial grass
- Silk fern branch
- Chocolate hearts
- Hard candies with green wrappers
- Bamboo skewers
- Green floral tape
- Red curling ribbon
- Red satin ribbon
- Hot glue
- Scissors
Instructions:
Start out by preparing the bud vase by filling it with the green artificial grass.
If you prefer, you can use red artificial grass or shredded paper instead. Stick the silk fern branch into the vase.
Next, we will make the hard candy flower. Use any hard candy that has a green wrapper that is wrapped with two longer ends (like a Tootsie Roll). Use floral tape to attach one side of the green candy to the skewer. Insert this flower into the vase, in front of the silk fern.
To make the candy rose, you need a chocolate heart, a bamboo skewer, green floral tape, and red curling ribbon. Insert the pointed end of a bamboo skewer into a chocolate heart. Wrap the rest of a bamboo skewer with green floral tape. Tie red curling ribbon just at the base of the chocolate rose. Put the chocolate rose into the vase in front of the hard candy flower.
To finish your candy bouquet, make a bow out of red ribbon. Attach it to the front of the vase with hot glue. Your candy bouquet is ready.
