One of the favorite targets for photographers are sweet looking flowers.photographers just love taking flower pictures especially after a rainy april when the the bumper crops of may flowers will be expected.
When you take flower pictures there are some things that needed to be considered as very important.
You have to first decide what your subject will be like:is your subject going to be a single flower close up,a field filled with flowers or is it going to be a macro of a stamen? Whatever your decision is from there will flow many specific of your picture.
If you decide to go macro shooting you have to know the exact part of the flower you want to shoot because your plane of focus will be very shallow,is it going to be the pistil,a petal etc you also know that when you take this type of pictures your lens must have a macro mode
A good advice when taking a picture of a flower is to use a tripod .since the flowers are in the open the wind will always blow them and they will be in a moving/swaying condition so you will need to use a tripod so that you will be better off not adding the conditional swaying of a camera too.
If you want your macro flower shot to be of more intrest to viewers you need to add something of intrest like a butterfly perching on the flower,or the hummingbird doing whatever on the flower.that I bet you will grab the viewers attention from just an ordinary photo shot to an extraordinary photograph.
if you now decide that you prefer to stay with taking pictures of flower beds, you best shot will also be as mentioned above. Add an intresting object to make the flower bed fascinating. How will you view a picture of a flower beds with a child playing amidst the flower.wouldnt it be an eye-catcher?
Finally if you decide to go into flower photography consider using the flowers as accessory to main subject especially when you are shooting from far off.flowers are a very beautiful subject to shoot when you are close up.
