There are many great things to do in the DFW area this Spring. From Easter events to Major League Baseball, food truck events and more, you'll have a number of super fun items for your To Do List.

April 1-30: 64th Annual Bluebonnet Trail


What: Enjoy a weekend of Arts and Crafts, Bluebonnet Souvenirs, Children's Activities, Live Music and scenic country rides taking in all the beautiful wildflowers with our Bluebonnet Trails Map. See up to 50 vintage cars in the Antique American Independent Car Show.

When: The Festival is April 18-19, 2015. The 64th Annual Bluebonnet Trail is April 1-30, 2015.

April 9: The Great Taste of Grapevine

April 3-5: Deep Ellum Arts Festival


What: Six blocks of Main Street in Deep Ellum transform into a super-sized street party with four outdoor stages and non-stop performances by 75 national, regional, and local original bands during this three-day festival. With more than 120 top-notch juried decorative and visual artists, muralist, the renowned Deep Ellum Pet Parade, and abundant food and drink, the Deep Ellum Arts Festival attracts a diverse audience and includes affluent art and music enthusiasts.

When: April 3-5, 2015.

April 5: Stonebriar Spring Sprint

Stonebriar Spring Sprint is partnering with City House to raise funds to open two transitional homes in Frisco, one for boys and one for girls. City House has been helping at-risk young adults aged 18-22 for the last 25 years and is expanding the Transitional Living Program to Frisco due to the rising number of homeless young adults in the area.
 

The event takes place on Saturday, April 5, 2014 beginning at 7 am.

Through April 6: Dallas Blooms!


What:Dallas Blooms, a festival of over 500,000 spring-blooming bulbs and botanical beauty in a 66-acre garden.

When: March 5 through April 6, 2014

If you miss the Easter bunny photographer, then BYOB: bring your own (stuffed) bunny along with your camera. The tulips, daffodils and azaleas are in full bloom and nature makes a colorful backdrop. The beautiful flowers make it easy for any photographer to look like a pro.

Admission: $15 adults; $12 seniors; $10 (ages 3-12) plus parking.

Remember: Don't pick or trample the tulips. Arboretum rules prohibit standing or walking in garden beds and you can't climb trees or shrubs.More »


April 10: Lone Star Park Opening Day


Live racing returns to Lone Star Park Thursday, April 10, 2014 celebrating its 17th season of Spring Thoroughbred racing. Big changes, new additions and exciting renovations await fans this season with plenty of entertainment, promotions and the Lone Star Music Series concert schedule.

April 12: National Grilled Cheese Day
