24 Hour Recovery - at one week post op - tails of missile launcher boobs!

Everone experiences a 24 Hour Recovery (R) in their own way.....I LOVE this patient's perspective on the experience and her sheer honesty.....I thought you would enjoy it too! BTW, her colleague never noticed or was so blown away he could NOT comment! Go Girl!

Hi Terrye, just wanted to give the almost 1 week update.

The girls are no longer shiny and can be mistaken for a my regular padded bra under a cotton covering. American Apparel makes a cotton bra - Interlock bra (?) that smooths the ladies out and just kinda rounds it all out so I look less like a missile launcher. The bra stretches across the girls, doesn't touch the rib cage or the incisions (in other words would not provide support, just coverage and a lift of the fleshy parts). Thank you American Apparel!

I reduced to one Ibuprofen as of last Sunday. Hasn't been a problem. No pain, just rare pin pricks as feeling returns. Starting to feel the fleshy parts again so the swelling must be going down. Wow, the water . . . yeah, I had the most amazing little bags hanging out above my shorts and on my ribs on Sunday/Monday. I've never seen anything like it. I think most of the water is gone, but what I've lost in water I've made up for with ice cream. Oh well. It was delicious. No regrets! :)

I worked 10-5 on Saturday, did not walk the dogs, but had no trouble with "work."

I worked 7a-11p Sunday with (2) 45 minute breaks. I did take cat naps during those two breaks, but also cleaned up the house, cooked a few meals for the week and well, not a problem. I wasn't anymore tired than normal (some students are more tiring than others...). If anything I probably napped less than normal, felt a little "over" energized.

Monday-Today, all's normal . . . except I am outfitted with missile launchers. Even wore my regular sweater dresses on Tuesday and Wednesday, no problems. Did prefer to have the little bra-let underneath so the shape was more uniform. I have some strange (but uniform) bumps on the slopes. A little support goes a long way. If I couldn't feel the girls I wouldn't know anything had happened. Totally fantastic! We'll see how the Halloween costume goes tonight.

Could still hear/feel the air bubbles until yesterday, but felt so much better after I spent time walking the doggies. Seems like the walk pushed the last of the water and bubbles out. Didn't get the heart rate up, but did get my butt moving.

That's about it. All's well here. Looking forward to having the girls back in a fleshy state - more day by day and even as the day rolls on. Tomorrow will be the true test when I have to deal with a former colleague who has scrutinized every inch of my frame. If I can get through the meeting without him saying anything, victory!

Even had my sister over on Monday and she didn't notice.

My very own caper. :)

Hope you guys are well.
