Grandfather and Grandson in Langar Hall

The grandfather brings his grandson to the Guru's free kitchen for nourishment of body and soul.

In bringing his grandson to the langar hall of the Guru's free kitchen where everyone sits on the the floor as equals, this grandfather provides spiritual nourishment for the child. The concept of langar is to nourish mind, body and soul with humility so that the effect of ego is diminished allowing realization of the Divine Beloved. Food that is blessed with prayer, meditation and selfless service during it's preparation is instilled with naam, the identity of the immortal divine with whom all which exists is one.
