The Macromedia Dreamweaver is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor. Macromedia's Dream Weaver web authoring software has become one of the most popular applications in the market today. Professional and amateur web designers both use this powerful web authoring software application when they want to create the most visually enriched web pages possible, as well as for web pages that are truly user friendly and fully functional.
Dreamweaver has a nice blend of advanced tools mixed in with a tasteful graphical user interface. Dreamweaver also enables you to build your own custom templates, allowing alterations to hundreds of pages to be made with one single change - great large web sites! It also has a tremendous array of database utilities which makes creating dynamic pages an easy task. Dreamweaver has a wide collection of advanced tools and may at times be a little too complex for those who wish to just edit pages. Pages done with Dreamweaver usually have less trash in coding. They look almost perfect with Mozilla, Netscape, Opera and MS Explorer. Dreamweaver doing amazing thing with SSI files and other server side include technology. Php code looks much nicer however with ASP scripts FrontPage still better. Dreamweaver is much better interacts with other macromedia products.

Dreamweaver templates make this easy. Beside above mentioned advantages of Dreamweaver it also has some drawbacks. Dreamweaver is not as easy to use and may look a little foreign and intimidating to the novice user. The lack of beginner tools and usability may frustrate inexperienced users. If you enter style attribute twice in Dreamweaver for <td> it will definitely ruin your page and you will be able preview your page partly before this error. ASP code doesn't look much nicer in Dreamweaver.
Macromedia announced a release of Studio 8. Based on the feedback of previous users, Macromedia made it's already very powerful software even better. The firm integration between applications in the Studio is incredible. Switching from Dreamweaver to another product like Fireworks, Flash and ColdFusion is fantastic.
