What Causes Infertility in Women?

One of the main factors of infertility in women is PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome).
First of all, what is infertility? Infertility is the state of being unable to produce offspring- for a woman it is an inability to conceive; for a man it is an inability of his sperm to impregnate the egg of a woman.
Infertility can happen when you have a hormonal imbalance in your body that can make you have a high count of male hormones such as testosterone and androgens; this disorder can also cause your body to produce too much insulin.
Your doctor can prescribe medication to control this.
The answers are similar to the question "what is infertility?" these are biological problems that can be fixed with the proper surgery.
Problems such as: weight, stress, ovarian cysts, PID (pelvic inflammatory disease), endometriosis, fallopian tube blockage or a more serious one known as congenital anomalies (birth defects).
Sometimes women have a more difficult time becoming pregnant after the age of thirty five; the older that you get the less eggs your body is able to produce.
Certain lifestyle choices can be changed in order for you to possibly conceive.
Weight and stress are a double threat for infertility, but these are two conditions that can easily be controlled.
It can be a little more challenging if it is something like an abnormal menstrual cycle.
This may involve many possibilities concerning the reason that you are infertile.
If it is only a hormonal imbalance, your doctor may prescribe medication to regulate it.
If the problem lies deeper such as: endometriosis, cysts, fallopian tube blockages, then it is possible that you may need surgery to correct them.
A woman will not be able to get pregnant if she does not ovulate properly.
This happens when an egg attaches itself to a follicle and then matures.
Sometimes a follicle develops a cyst rather than an egg.
If this occurs then ovulation will not happen properly and pregnancy will not take place.
A lack of progesterone will cause the uterine wall to be thick, thus answering the question of what infertility is.
When the wall becomes thickened it is hard for the egg to attach itself to the follicle because of scarring at the beginning of the fallopian tubes, making it harder for the egg to travel to the uterus.
These problems usually happen when a women has a bad infection from diseases like PID.
Surgery can help; and after the scar tissue is removed, it may be possible to get pregnant.
You will not be able to conceive if your body is not able to let the egg go to the uterus.
It is extremely rare for conception to take place if the eggs are immature.
About 50% of infertility cases are due to an ovulation disorder.
This disorder happens when your FSH levels are elevated and your LH levels are low.
With this condition, only parts of your ovarian follicles develop; this alone can cause infertility.
