"Daddy's Girl" is an original Christian poem dedicated to women and girls who have grown up without the nurturing love of an earthly father.

Daddy's Girl

For the one who has not known
The love of a daddy in her home,
The one whose head is bent in shame
May she hear You call her name.
You gently lift her tear-stained face
And place a kiss upon her brow.
Upon Your toes You place her feet
As heaven's music begins to beat.

You place her hands within Your own
And dance with her around Your throne.
In "Daddy's arms" she's safe and secure
Dancing in the dew of dawn.
A new truth within her heart is born—
You came to earth for this dear child
Who had been so cast aside.
How beautiful she is to You ...
You set upon this daughter's head
A crown of honor for which You bled.
