- Garrard manufactured the Garrard Zero 100 turntable model in the early 1970s. While Garrard is no longer mass producing this turntable, it is still a desirable turntable for collectors and fans of vinyl records. The Zero 100 offers a listening experience with minimal rumble and constant record speed. The Zero 100 can also play records at 33 or 45 rpm.
- The Garrard Zero 100 is constructed with a magnetic tonearm anti-skating system, which keeps the stylus steady while it is running along the grooves of the record. The turntable also features dampened cueing action, which prevents the needle from slamming down too hard on the record. The Zero 100 is built with a 110/125-, 110/120- or 220/240-volt power supply depending on motor coil wiring. The power supply frequency is 50 or 60 hertz depending on the pulley and stroboscope. The wow of the turntable is rated as better than 0.10 percent RMS, with a flutter better than 0.05 RMS.
- The Garrard Zero 100 turntable can play any type of record other than a 78 rpm. The device has a pitch control, which allows users to adjust the pitch 3 percent up or down if needed. The tonearm head pivots laterally as it glides along the record to ensure stability in playback. A tilting device can also adjust the cartridge 15 degrees.
- The Zero 100 turntable is an automatic turntable with a belt drive. A belt turns the platter holding the record, and the needle can automatically drop itself on the record and remove itself when playback is finished. It is also possible to use the Garrard Zero 100 as a manual turntable. The motor is isolated on the inside of the turntable to provide a quiet, rumble-free listening experience. The stock platter for the turntable is made of hard rubber, which improves audio quality.
