Grants for children in need help to meet the needs of children from low-income families or families facing economic crisis. Grants may support education and enrichment opportunities such as tutoring, summer camp or music lessons. Grants may pay for medical bills or other expenses related to a child’s illness. Grants ensure that children in need are afforded the same opportunities as other children. - The Aubrey Rose Foundation provides needs-based grants to families of children with serious illnesses. Grants pay for medical bills only. Families must submit a letter of inquiry to apply, and the letter must include information about the family, the child’s needs, health insurance information and copies of the bills for which payment is requested. Families may submit applications year-round; however, the board reviews grant applications quarterly in March, June, September and December. Notifications are sent to applicants within 60 days after the grant review.
