How to Disable Windows Security Center Registry

    • 1). Click the Windows "Start" button and enter "regedit" into the text box. Press "Enter" to open the Windows Registry Editor.

    • 2). Navigate to the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wscsvc" key in the registry.

    • 3). Double-click the "Start" registry value. If this value does not exist already, right-click the whitespace in the details window and select "New." Select "DWORD" from the list of options. Name the value "Start."

    • 4). Enter "00000004" for the DWORD value. Click "OK" to save your new registry changes. Reboot your machine for the changes to take effect.
