- 1). Click the Windows "Start" menu and right-click "My Computer." Click "Properties" to launch System Properties. Click "System Restore" and check the "Turn off System Restore on all drives." Click "Apply." When prompted, click "Yes" and click "OK" to disable System Restore.
- 2). Launch your antivirus program and update it by clicking "Update" or "Check for updates." Refer to your program's documentation on updating if you do not see these options. Run a full system scan after updating your program and delete any malicious files the program detects.
- 3). Go to the Symantec Support page (see Resources). Download and run the tool to reset "shell\open\command registry keys".
- 4). Launch the registry by clicking the Windows "Start" menu, clicking "Run," typing "regedit" and pressing "Enter."
- 5). Click the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder in the left pane, click "SOFTWARE" and click the "Microsoft" folder. Click the "Windows" folder, click the "CurrentVersion" folder and click the "Run" folder. Right-click the "Bron-Spizaetus" = "%Windir%\INF\norBtok.exe" entry located in the right pane and click "Delete."
- 6). Click the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder, click the "Software" folder and click the "Microsoft" folder. Click the "Windows" folder, click the "CurrentVersion" folder and click the "Run" folder. Right-click the "Tok-Cirrhatus" = "%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\smss.exe" entry located in the right pane and click "Delete." Close the registry.
- 7). Click the Windows "Start" menu, click the "Control Panel" and click "Classic View." Right-click the "Task" icon and select "Properties" from pop-up menu. If you see this task: "%UserProfile%\Templates\A.kotnorB.com," right-click on it and delete it.
